Rollercoaster weekend!

So, I released book 2 (Quiver: Watched by Shadows) over the weekend and also did a special on book 1 too.

I wasn't expecting too much. I was just hoping for some new readers a few follow through downloads for the new release, but OMG book 1 crushed it!

It managed to get to #113 in the Free section for the whole entire store on Amazon. To me, as a new author, that was amazing. It blew my tiny little mind! So close to the top 100 as well - which would have been insane if it had made it, but I'm happy my little book got to #113 and #3 in short stories.

I suck at blogging

Let's just get that out the way at the start.

Why blog if I have nothing important to say? I don't want to bore you all... (You're probably best following me on twitter @liviarook for everyday chatter.)

But that means I must have something important to announce since I'm writing this.

Well, actually I do!

You'll be pleased to hear that Quiver: Watched by Shadows (Part 2) will be released tomorrow (26/09/14)! Yay! All my 2 of my fans rejoice (Hi Mom!).

I'll also be running it at a special discounted price of $0.99 / £0.79. So, grab it quick! I'll also be keeping it enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, so those with a subscription in either the US or the UK, will be able to get it absolutely free as part of their membership - how cool is that?

Also, as part of the release day shenanigans, Quiver: Enticed by Shadows (Part One) will be going FREE for a limited time too! So, yes, please tell your friends, tell your mom, tell your cat... tell everybody. \o/

I wanted to keep with the same theme and managed to get a cool pic of the same models that I used on the first one. "Kate" is definitely looking a lot bolder, reflecting what happens in the story *hint* *hint*.

Book 2 is nearly done!

I'm getting close to wrapping up Book 2! Yay! Then it will spend some time with my editor and once that's all complete I'll be ready to get it all formatted and push that shiny publish button.

I expect it should all be done by next week, baring any major complications. I'm also thinking of offering some Advance Reader Copies to my loyal readers in exchange for reviews - so if anyone is interested please feel free to get in touch.

In the meantime book 1 - Quiver: Enticed by Shadows has been price-dropped to a cool $0.99 on Amazon for a limited time only - grab it while you can!

I just realised I haven't posted anything to my new blog. Oops!

It may take me a few days to get into the swing of things but hopefully this will become a place where I can share what's going on in my daily life, how my writing is progressing, that kind of thing.

Oh and there will probably be pictures of cats and bunnies too!

In other news: YAY! My first book has gone up on amazon.

It's all kinda went by in a blur. I had a goal of getting it published on the 1st of September, so I pushed pretty hard to get it all done. Found an incredible editor who got the book back to me really quick, and after that it was all the formatting and nitty gritty that had to be pinned down. Final checks, and making sure the book cover displayed correctly - all that kind of malarkey!

But I got through it and was on an incredible high - who knew publishing could be so addictive?!
